To create inclusive spaces in education, livelihoods, and the creative arts that allow all people to grow and thrive.
Our Vision
An inclusive Uganda where every space is shared, every life is valued, and differences are celebrated.
In Uganda more than 12%
of the population lives with a disability, yet many people with disabilities continue to face barriers to education, skills development, employment, and economic participation. These barriers contribute to poverty, dependency and social exclusion—not because of people's abilities, but because of inaccessible systems and environments. MULIA Foundation, is a Ugandan organization working to create inclusive spaces where people with disabilities and other vulnerable communities can access education, livelihoods, creative expression, and opportunities to thrive. We believe that all people have the right to be equitably included in society.
Inclusive Skills Development Education
Through Ancilla School, we provide youth with and without disabilities with vocational, entrepreneurship, technology and life skills that support sustainable livelihoods and social inclusion. We turn exclusion into empowerment. While national gaps leave 3 in 5 Ugandan youth with disabilities out of school or work, we provide the accessible vocational training, adaptive tech, and economic pathways they need to thrive.
Creative Advocacy
We use performing arts and creative expression to amplify diverse voices, challenge stigma and strengthen inclusive communities. We are at the forefront of using creative expression to build stronger inclusive communities. Beyond our campus, we build a more accessible future from the ground up by establishing Inclusion Champion Clubs in primary and secondary schools to advocate for systemic change.
Sustainable Livelihoods
We promote economic independence through smart agriculture, livestock community circles, Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), while our unique "learning by doing" initiative places Ancilla students with in family homes to gain real-world skills.
